At Cattin & Cie SA, Montres Catorex, hereinafter referred to as CATOREX, it is in our DNA that we take data protection extremely seriously. We live our values and stand for maximum transparency, and we are committed to keeping our privacy practices, including the treatment of your personal information, up to date. We know that your personal privacy is important to you. For this reason, we offer you settings that you can decide for yourself how CATOREX will use the respective information. This policy explains our privacy practices for shop.catorex.swiss.

PART 1 - Accepting our Privacy Policy

In order to run our business and provide you with our products and services, we need to process your personal information. By accepting our terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy, including how and why we use your information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third party websites or applications. CATOREX's Terms of Use require all account holders to be at least 18 years of age. Children under the age of 14 are not permitted to use CATOREX or the Services. You are responsible for all account activity performed by a minor on your account. By using the Services, you acknowledge that CATOREX will use your information in the United States, Ireland and any other country in which CATOREX operates. Please note that data protection laws and standards in certain countries, including the rights of public authorities to access your personal data, may differ from those in force in the country in which you reside. We will only transfer personal information to those countries where we are legally entitled to transfer personal information and we will take steps to ensure that your personal information continues to enjoy adequate protection. PART 2 - Information collected or received

As part of the provision of our services, we collect or receive your personal data in various ways. You often decide what information you want to provide, but sometimes we need certain information that you can use and that we provide to you. Registration, Account Setup, Service Use: To use the Services, you must provide us with a valid email address and, for services that require registration, a name associated with your account that you can choose and that represents your identity on CATOREX. You can check, change or remove this name through the settings in your customer account. You must provide this information in order for us to provide you with the services we offer. Depending on which services you use, additional information such as shop name, billing and payment information (including invoice recipient, address, telephone number, credit card information), a telephone number and/or a physical mailing address may be required for us to provide a particular service. You are not required to provide us with this information in order to register, but we do need it in order to provide certain services. For example, we need a physical mailing address when you buy something on shop.catorex.swiss. We may need to store (or have stored) credit card information and use it for billing and payment purposes. Depending on your local jurisdiction, you may also choose whether we may store your credit card information to facilitate the ordering process for future purchases.

PART 3 - Automated Information

CATOREX automatically receives and stores information from your browser or mobile device when you visit shop.catorex.swiss or use certain other services, such as your IP address or a unique device identifier, cookies and information about which pages you visit to enable us to operate and provide the services. This information is stored in log files and collected automatically. We may combine this information from your browser or mobile device with other information that we or our partners collect about you, including across devices. This information is used to prevent fraud and keep the services secure, to analyze and understand how the services work for members and visitors, and to provide relevant advertising, including across multiple devices, and a more personalized experience for members and visitors. We may also automatically collect device-specific information when you install, access or use our services. This information may include information such as hardware model, operating system information, debugging information, browser information, IP address, and device IDs. PART 4 – Location information

We may collect information about your use of the Services for advertising, analysis to provide content, and to protect the Services, including your IP address, browser information (including referrers), device information (such as iOS IDFA, IDFV for limited, non-advertising purposes, Android AAID and, if enabled by you, location information provided by your device).

PART 5 – Analysis information: 

We use data analysis to ensure website functionality and improve services. We use mobile analytics software to understand the functionality of the services on your device. This software can record information such as how often you use the services, what happens inside the device, aggregated usage, performance data, device errors and debugging information, and where the services were accessed.

PART 6 – Patterns of CATOREX

We also collect certain information from individuals who visit Web sites hosted by us. PART 7 - Selection and control

We understand that our customers value having control over their own information, so CATOREX gives you the choice to provide, edit or remove certain information, as well as the choice of how we contact you. You can change or correct your individual data and account information through your account settings. You can also request the deletion of your personal information by contacting our support team. Depending on your location, you may also have certain additional rights with respect to your information, such as (a) data access and portability (including the right to obtain a copy of your personal data that you have provided to CATOREX through your preferences); (b) data correction (including the ability to update your personal data, in many cases through preferences); (c) data deletion (including the right for CATOREX to delete your personal data, except for the information that we must retain by contacting us); and (d) revocation of consent or objection to the processing (including the right to ask CATOREX in certain circumstances to cease processing your personal data, with some exceptions by contacting us). We use non-technically necessary cookies and similar technologies. For a more detailed explanation of the technologies we use and how you can opt-out, please refer to the CATOREX Cookies & Similar Technologies Policy. You can also control the receipt of certain types of messages from CATOREX in your account settings. CATOREX may send you messages about the services or your activities. Some of these messages are necessary, service-related messages for customers (e.g. transaction messages or legal notices). Other messages, such as newsletters, are not required. You can control which optional messages you want to receive by changing your account settings, and you can learn more about this in the "CATOREX Messages" section of this policy. We work with third parties to administer our advertising on other websites. Our third party partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide you with advertising based on your browser activity and interests. If you no longer wish to use the Services or receive service-related messages (other than those required by law), you may have your account deleted. If you wish to have your account deleted, please contact our support team at support@catorex.swiss.

PART 8 - News from CATOREX

Occasionally CATOREX may need to contact you. First and foremost, these messages are delivered by e-mail or push notification, and each account is required to keep a valid e-mail address in a file to receive messages. CATOREX may also contact you by telephone for support, warranty or transactional purposes if you would like us to call you. In addition, CATOREX may, with your consent, send you an SMS (or similar) or physical mail to assist you or inform you of products and features that may be of interest to you. You can update your contact preferences in your account preferences. Some messages from CATOREX are service-related and necessary for customers. You agree that CATOREX may send you non-marketing emails or messages, such as those related to transactions, your account, security, warranties or product changes. Examples of service-related messages include an e-mail confirmation/welcome e-mail when registering your account, notification of an order, availability of the service, changes to key functions or features, forwarding of discussions with buyers and correspondence with the CATOREX support team. When you register for an account, subscribe to a newsletter, you will receive a notification and agree (in some countries and situations by additional clear consent) to receive marketing emails and messages from us. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the opt-out link in marketing emails or messages. Members may also control some marketing emails or messages through their account settings, as well as through the opt-out link in marketing emails or messages.

PART 9 – Use, Disclosure and Disclosure of Information

When you access or use the Services, we collect, use, share and process your personal information as described in this Policy. We do so based on a number of legal principles under which we may use your information in this manner. This includes

Providing and improving our services: We may use your information to improve and customize our services, including sharing your information for such purposes, and we do so to pursue our legitimate interests in improving our services to our users. This is also necessary to enable us to pursue our legitimate interests, to understand how our services are used, and to find and release ways to develop and grow our business. We respect your privacy. CATOREX will not disclose your name, email address or other personal information to any third party without your consent, except as provided in this policy. We use your information to provide and improve the Services and our products, for billing and payment purposes, for identification and authentication, for targeted online and offline marketing, to contact customers or prospects, and for general research and aggregate reporting. We can use your browsing and purchasing behavior on (and outside of) the Site to learn the types of products you are interested in and suggest possible purchases. At the heart of our services, we have a legitimate interest in adapting your experience on shop.catorex.swiss to help you find relevant items and purchase recommendations. Likewise, we or our sellers may advertise our services or our sellers' products through a variety of different media and rely on your consent to do so outside the website. In this context, we may work with advertising partners such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Google.

Legal and Safety: CATOREX may also store, retain or disclose your personal information to third parties under the following circumstances: in response to lawful governmental requests, including compliance with legitimate national security or law enforcement requirements; to protect, establish or exercise our rights or defend against legal claims, including recovery of debt; to comply with a subpoena, court order, legal process or other legal requirement; or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or to prevent illegal activity, suspected fraud, threats to our property, or violations of the Terms of Use; or to protect, establish or exercise our rights or defend against legal claims, including the collection of any debt; or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, prevent impending physical harm or financial loss, or to prevent illegal activity, suspected fraud, threats to our property, or violations of the Terms of Use.

Service providers: CATOREX must also commission third-party companies and individuals (e.g. payment processors, research companies, analytics and security providers) to support us in the operation, provision and marketing of the services. These third parties have limited access to your information, may use your information only to perform these functions on our behalf, and are required by CATOREX not to disclose your information or use it for any other purpose. The use of external service providers is often necessary to enable us to provide the services to you, especially if these companies play an important role in the processing of payments and shipments and help us keep our service functional and secure. In some other cases, these service providers are not necessarily necessary for us to provide the services, but help us to make them better, for example by helping us to conduct research into how we can better serve our users. In the latter case, we have a legitimate interest in working with service providers to improve our services.

The security of your personal data is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information you provide to us both during transmission and upon receipt. Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Although we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

PART 11 - Storage

CATOREX will store your information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy, as long as your account is active, or as long as is necessary to provide the services to you. If you no longer want CATOREX to use your information to provide services to you, you may have your account deleted. CATOREX will store and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations (e.g. when we need to store your information to comply with applicable tax laws), to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and as otherwise described in this policy.

PART 12 - Your rights

You may benefit from a number of rights relating to the data we process. Some rights apply only in certain limited cases, depending on your location or place of residence. If you wish to manage, change, restrict or delete your personal data, you can do so through your CATOREX account settings or by contacting us. Upon request, CATOREX will provide you with information as to whether we store your personal data. When you access your account preferences, you can access, correct, change and delete certain personal information associated with your account. In certain cases where we process your information, you may also have the right to restrict or limit the way we use your personal information. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to request that your personal information be deleted and to receive a copy of your personal information in an easily accessible format. Please make sure that you have read the options. If you need further assistance, you can contact CATOREX through one of the channels listed under "Contact" below. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time. If we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests, as explained above, or in the public interest, you may object to such processing under certain circumstances. In such cases, we will cease processing your data unless we have compelling legitimate reasons for further processing or if required to do so by law. If we use your data for direct marketing purposes, you may object at any time by using the unsubscribe link in such communications or by changing your account preferences.

PART 13 - Revocation of consent

Where you have previously given your consent, you also have the right to revoke your consent to our processing of your data and your use of the services. For example, you can revoke your consent to e-mail marketing by using the unsubscribe link in such messages or by changing your account settings. You can revoke your consent to the processing of your data and your use of the services at any time by closing your account by e-mail to support@catorex.swiss in order to request the deletion of your personal data, with the exception of data that we must retain. This deletion is permanent and your account cannot be restored.

PART 14 - Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may change or update this policy from time to time. If we believe that the changes are material, we will notify you by taking one (or more) of the following actions: (a) post the changes on or through the Services, or (b) send you an email or notice of the changes.
